The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County promotes environmental stewardship among individuals and businesses through education programs, and will offer both compost and rain barrel workshops in 2011.
Pre-registration and advance payment is required for each workshop. Payment must be received to reserve your spot. Each workshop space is limited to 35 attendees and registered attendees have first priority to available seating.

Composting offers a unique opportunity to contribute to and directly benefit from part of the solid waste solution: recycling. It also results in a rich soil amendment great for gardening purposes.
